There are many features such as virtual screens that can you can move and size individually, pointer/cursor that can be moved across the entire virtual environment using your mouse or vr controller, and support for mixed reallity that will let you merge your virtual desktop with a physical workspace.

Multiple Screen Styles

In VIVE Desk Beta, you can choose and easily switch between three main screen styles:

1. Multi-Screen : This style is the most flexible setup, with up to three screens that can be adjusted as a group or detached to be adjusted independently. No need for brackets or wall mounts because in VIVE Desk Beta, each screen can be sized and positioned freely in your virtual workspace.
2. Single Screen : Perfect for privacy because you can switch off your physical screen. This is also great for people who want to gradually work their way into a multi-screen setup.
3. Ultra-Wide Screen : For display enthusiasts, the ultra-wide screen offers a single screen with no bezels, a 21:9 aspect ratio, and a size large enough to cover your entire field of view.

Pro tip: Enable 'dim mode' to darken everything outside of the screen, enhancing your experience with 2D games or movies.

Unique Inputs

You have full control over how you can interact with your virtual desktop. For example, different input methods can be useful for different types of content you're using on the screen. You can explore all the features in the VIVE Desk Toolbar to set up what's best for you.

1. Advanced Mouse Cursor : You can use your mouse beyond your desktop. Just drag your cursor outside of the desktop and into the virtual workspace, where you can adjust your screens or open the VIVE Desk settings without the need to switch to VR controllers.
2. VR Controllers : VR Controllers (and soon Hand Tracking) offer their own benefits. You can sit back, relax without your keyboard, and perform simple tasks such as clicking, scrolling, playing, and pausing videos.

Mixed Reality

Mixed reality, using VIVE XR Elite's color passthrough feature, is a powerful way to integrate your virtual workspace into your real environment, providing a clear view of your surroundings and easy access to your keyboard, mouse, or any other essentials.

You can also switch to a full virtual office scene to block out all the distractions around you. Want to see your keyboard or hands? No problem. Turn on partial passthrough to gain visibility of the what you need.

Pro tip: Use the virtual scene and partially enable mixed reality to see only your desk or hands, reducing distractions from your surroundings.
