HTC VIVE and Epic Games have announced a new $3.5 million funding round in Wevr, a development and production studio that’s launched a variety of VR experiences for fans of some of the world’s most beloved brands and talents, including Harry Potter, Run the Jewels, Jon Favreau, and more. The new investment comes as Wevr expands its Virtual Studio technology and real-time 3D production capabilities, enabling the company to continue building the most immersive, compelling experiences for fans worldwide.
Based in Los Angeles, Wevr is a leader in immersive experience development, known for blending cutting-edge technology with creative storytelling. Their projects cover multiple mediums including VR, and range from the critically acclaimed underwater adventure, TheBlu, to collaborative ventures like Harry Potter VR, Waves by Reggie Watts, Jon Favreau’s Gnomes & Goblins, and more. With a decade of expertise, Wevr has consistently pushed the boundaries of what's possible in VR.
