Nothing's in my cart

When dealing with stress in our daily lives, we often have no choice but to suffer in silence. When it feels overwhelming, you might get the urge to smash something, lash out at others, or binge eat. However, such behaviors are clearly not okay in reality. Thankfully, we have VR games.
Today, I'm going to introduce five games created to let you to vent to your heart's content and provide stress relief. Let's find out which one suits your venting style best.
Drunkn Bar Fight, as the name suggests, lets you get virtually drunk and cause a ruckus, making it an unconventional form of stress management. Stumbling around, smashing things, and picking fights for no reason—such actions would surely get you arrested in real life.
For some reason, everyone looks like they're asking for trouble.
This game offers a high degree of freedom; almost everything you see can be used to wreak havoc. The soundtrack is also carefully curated, featuring punk rock. In addition to the bar, there are other scenes like amusement parks and shopping malls where you can start brawls at the drop of a hat. However, be mindful that the protagonist is quite fragile, and you might end up getting hurt yourself.
You can also pick fights at the amusement park.
After playing, I read that it also supports multiplayer, though I haven't tried it yet. It seems Drunkn Bar Fight could also be a party game for those looking to engage in some group stress relief?

The audacious me getting beaten up. Yes, in death, you switch to a third-person perspective to witness your own sorry state.
GORN.
I was initially indifferent to this VR game, as the cover seemed to be all about muscles and bloodshed. However, GORN has consistently received good reviews, which piqued my curiosity about what makes this hack-and-slash game special. Once I entered the game GORN instantly awakened a warrior spirit hidden deep within me, offering a visceral form of stress management. (Who knew I had it in me?) The game is straightforward: step into the arena, grab a weapon or use your fists, and beat the burly men that appear before you into a pulp. Its simplicity and brain-off nature make it perfect for letting off steam.
Remember to reserve a larger play area than you think you'll need, lest you get carried away and either break your controller or your screen.

If this isn't a river of blood, what is?
If the previous two games seem a bit too violent, let's take a breather. Gadgeteer is a physics-based VR puzzle game where you can create chain reaction machines to solve intriguing and complex puzzles, allowing you to become a master of mechanisms in VR. Gadgeteer also features a sandbox mode where you can freely arrange mechanisms throughout the space and then set them off in one go, providing a unique approach to stress management.
This game is suitable for all ages and is great for cultivating patience and creativity. The process of creating mechanisms can bring a sense of calm to your mind.

Fruit Ninja VR.
Some games have a magical allure; they may not seem all that exciting, but once you start playing, you can't stop—Fruit Ninja is one such game. Surely everyone knows this game, right? When smartphones first hit the scene, Fruit Ninja was one of my favorite.
Fruit Ninja VR is pretty similar to the mobile version. The main difference is that you wield dual swords, which can be quite tiring on the arms but doubles the thrill. There are four game modes, including the challenging 'Survival Mode' where the ball machine rotates around you.

It may seem mindless, but there's actually some skill involved.
LES MILLS BODYCOMBAT.
Exercise and sweating it out is an excellent way to relief stress, and LES MILLS BODYCOMBAT lets you burn fat and get fit just by donning a VR headset. Although we've already written a feature article about it, it's a gem worth recommending again. LES MILLS BODYCOMBAT allows you to progressively train your body, offering the freedom to arrange your own sessions and track your workout history, with scoring for each participation. Swing your fists to the supercharged music and motivational shouts from the instructors, and before you know it, you'll be drenched in sweat. Managing stress while getting fit is truly the best of both worlds.
