We recently launched a new beta for VIVE Streaming, which unlocks a significant increase in encoding performance while also reducing latency.
Our early testing shows improvements of up to 50% in encoding performance across both wireless streaming or when using a USB-C streaming cable, as well as across different graphics settings. This performance improvement is especially noticeable for users of Ultra Mode, and is perfect for people using headsets like VIVE XR Elite for PCVR gaming.
Other updates to VIVE Streaming include even easier support for expressive avatars in VRChat, for power users of VIVE XR Elite and VIVE Focus 3 who specifically want eye and face tracking for their avatars. With our latest update, VIVE Streaming now supports VRCFT via an external module.Users who want to take advantage of this new functionality can install VFCFT and the correspondingViveStreamingFaceTracingModule available at https://github.com/ViveSoftware/ViveStreamingFaceTrackingModule.With both VRCFT and the module installed, VIVE Streaming will automatically switch to VRCFT in VRChat, making the experience better and smoother, while delivering a more expressive avatar.
