i’m dennis and welcome to live talk
today i’m excited to tell you more about
what it’s like to wear the biofocus 3
our brand new standalone vr headset and
really talk about
the attention to detail that we put into
making the vi focus 3
the most comfortable vr headset to use
the vi focus 3 is designed for comfort
and long session use
it is an all-in-one design for all we
wanted the headset to not only be
pleasant to wear
but also feel lightweight and natural
we wanted the headset to feel like it
fades into the background
so that the vr experience can take
center stage
we understand that getting people in and
out of vr comfortably
especially for people new to vr is
actually one of the most
critical steps in ensuring an effective
and immersive
vr experience our insight into how vr is
used in the business environment
and how multiple users may be rotated in
and out of vr
has enabled us to innovate in ways that
optimizes
the experience 2 vr
the vi focus 3 has a unique quick
release design
that ensures very fast donning and
doffing of the headset
by just pressing the quick release
button at the back of the headset
the focus 3 can be immediately sized and
secured
to fit the user’s head or loosened for
faster user rotation
the focus 3 has a physical ipd
adjustment dial
that covers the widest range of ipd on
the market today
with a range of 57 to 72 millimeters
a total range of 15 millimeters users
can granularly adjust
the ipd settings while wearing the
headset
and of course users with eyeglasses will
also be able to comfortably use
the vi focus 3 without problem next
the focus 3 is meticulously balanced
to approach 50 50 front to back balance
we obsessed over
every detail to achieve true long use
comfort
we used the hmd’s main battery as a
counterweight
to more evenly distribute overall weight
then
we sculpted the shape of the hmd and
specially designed and molded every
battery cell to follow the natural curve
of the human head
to minimize pressure points all this
added together
results in the most balanced feeling vr
headset
on the market with less pressure points
that might cause user discomfort
after prolonged use this means that with
the vi focus 3
users can remain in vr for longer and
also finish their vr sessions
more comfortably than with any other
headset on the market and that’s it for
