Test Drive a Toyota with Vive Focus in Taiwan
Today we announced that VIVE Focus officially enters the enterprise application VR solutions market in Taiwan. HTC VIVE and Hotai Motor (official distributor of Toyota Motor in Taiwan) are partnering to embracing the highly immersive nature of Virtual Reality technology to launch the “TOYOTA VR Driving Safety Simulation Experience”. This experience will use Vive Focus to enable customers to experience realistic and immersive test-drives with access to the full features of the vehicles without actually hitting the road.
The “TOYOTA VR Driving Safety Simulation Experience” will roll out to more than 100 TOYOTA dealerships throughout Taiwan, and has created test drive scenarios, including national highways, night mountain roads, and urban rush hours, with features including 360 degrees panoramic view, first-person driving view and simulation of actual road conditions. With Vive Focus, users can fully experience all sorts of unexpected events, and appreciate the interior texture and exterior environment as if they were in the real environment.
This marks the first roll out of Vive Focus to enterprise users, proving that premium standalone VR has broad application prospects and can be used to engage customers, train employees or develop products.
