HTC VIVE Mars and Marble by World Labs, a spatial intelligence company, have teamed up to tackle one of the biggest challenges in Virtual Production: the complexity of turning creative ideas into shoot-ready 3D scenes quickly, without sacrificing creative vision or quality.
Using AI-based Gaussian Splatting visualisation and rendering techniques, Marble’s world-generation platform transforms a simple image or text prompt into an immersive, explorable 3D environment. The result is a lightweight PLY scene that captures spatial depth and realism instantly, without having to rely on traditional modelling or lighting techniques.

Production teams Moonshine Studio XR, Matt Vascellaro and Eric Furie, and New Media Manitoba were given early access to Marble to explore real-time virtual scene creation with their VIVE Mars CamTrack setups, and the feedback was immediate. Users praised the workflow’s simplicity and were impressed by the significant time save it brings to real-time virtual production.

“At Moonshine Studio XR in Taipei, we wanted to prove that world-building could be instant,” said Chia Chi Lin, CEO of Moonshine. “We brought in three creators with zero training, and in one afternoon they generated more than ten unique scenes to film their social media content. Paired with VIVE Mars CamTrack, everything flowed naturally and gave us real-time filmmaking at its purest.”

VIVE Mars’ newly released real-time compositing software, Mars Nova, now also integrates with Marble, enabling green screen users to go from an image prompt to live-action composite in minutes - without needing 3D tools, game engines, or any prior experience.

Mars Nova accelerates the creative workflow with two key advantages. First, it imports Marble’s PLY files directly, eliminating the extra steps required by Unreal Engine. Second, it automatically optimizes each asset on import, making the scene instantly shoot-ready.

By reducing the technical barriers to 3D scene creation, the VIVE Mars and Marble collaboration makes real-time virtual production more accessible, and is ideal for fast turnaround of social content creation, creative projects and classroom demos.
“VIVE Mars’ mission has always been to lower the barrier of entry to virtual production, and our latest technology collaboration with Marble by World Labs marks another step towards this goal,” said Raymond Pao, SVP at HTC. “It accelerates the workflow for creators, educators, and small teams, empowering them to bring cinematic ideas to life with only a green screen, a camera, and a computer."
