Virtual Idol pioneer Hatsune Miku is making her big-screen debut, and for many Miku fans, this isn't exactly breaking news. However, the movie "Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing" is not only set to premiere in Taiwan on March 28th, but it has also recently announced its North American release. It seems Miku's charm isn't confined to Asia. Attention, American Miku fans—an English trailer has been released, and the film is slated to hit North American theaters on April 11th.

The Miku movie performed well at the box office in Japan.

"Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing" made a strong debut in Japan and has recently surpassed the one-billion-yen mark in ticket sales—approximately $6.62 million.

This big-screen adventure for Hatsune Miku is adapted from the rhythm game "Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage." While the game focuses on music and rhythm, the movie shifts its spotlight to other characters. The main character, Ichika Hoshino, is part of a band from the Project SEKAI universe. The story unfolds as she encounters a "Miku who can’t sing," and Miku seeks Ichika's help to reconnect the world and its people through her music.
