League of Legends' Neeko Transforms into a VTuber, Reveals New Teamfight Tactics Set

Neeko, a popular character in League of Legends (LOL), recently appeared as a VTuber in an official YouTube video for the League of Legends spinoff Teamfight Tactics (TFT). In the video, she introduces the new TFT set "Remix Rumble" in the guise of a superfan of K/DA. Neeko's adorable appearance as a VTuber has prompted players to comment, "Please give us more VTuber model skins!"

Interestingly, in the lore of League of Legends, Neeko hails from the long-lost Vastaya tribe and is dubbed a "curious chameleon." She can transform into the appearance of others to blend into any group. She also has the ability to instantly discern whether surrounding units are friend or foe. After undergoing a character rework earlier this year, her transformation abilities have reached new heights.

Neeko's VTuber image showcases her chameleon-like versatility. Her Live2D VTuber skin has undergone a major transformation from its original magical jungle aesthetic, and now features a cute, short jumpsuit with a cap, giving her a more Japanese-looking style. The Japanese version of her character is voiced by the talented voice actress Michiyo Murase, who perfectly interprets the image of the VTuber Neeko with her signature energetic and adorable voice.
Although it is uncertain how this VTuber version of the character will develop in the future, Riot Games has shown its emphasis on VTubers by inviting members of hololive production to perform at their epic offline event "Riot Games ONE 2023." Additionally, we have seen more and more game developers transforming their characters into VTubers to expand their brand's influence. Therefore, it is not difficult to imagine that Riot Games may also seize this trend and bring more innovative interactive experiences to fans in the future.
