VIVE Business+ gets Improvements to Device and Content Management, plus Offline Options

HTC VIVE recently revealed its new XR headset, VIVE Focus Vision, the latest addition to the highly popular VIVE Focus Series. VIVE Focus Vision is built on the VIVE Focus 3 platform, the headset of choice for Location-Based Entertainment, and enterprise training including for healthcare, industrial training, defense, and more. Pre-orders of the Business Edition of VIVE Focus Vision include a 1-year VIVE Business+ Pro tier license as a limited-time offer. †
To help businesses manage their deployments of VIVE Focus Vision and other headsets, HTC VIVE developed VIVE Business+, a management software and services solution for immersive devices. Features like batch configuration, remote monitoring, remote updates, and map sharing – a core component of the VIVE Location-Based Software Suite (LBSS) 1 – have made VIVE Business+ a widely popular management platform.
In addition to these features, we’ve been busy upgrading VIVE Business+ for better efficiency and operator control. Here are some of the key updates we’ve made to VIVE Business+:
- Device management
- USB device enrollment: Enroll devices to VIVE Business+ using a USB cable to streamline the enrollment process.
- Private groups: Ensure privacy and security by creating a device group with permissions, that only approved members can manage.
- Local casting: Intranet screen casting for training provides real-time feedback to operators.
- Content management
- Remote launch content for a group of headsets. This is useful for multi-user training scenarios.
- Offline operations with the VIVE Business+ Console
- Manage your headset fleets with the VIVE Business+ online web application, or when offline with the VIVE Business+ Console. Easily manage key features with limited or no internet connection, ensuring smooth delivery of experiences in environments like crowded conventions or remote cruise ships.
- Put VIVE Focus 3 and VIVE Focus Vision headsets into the same group
- This new feature allows businesses to mix VIVE Focus 3 users with VIVE Focus Vision users in the same VR experience, making it easy for them to onboard our newest headset into their current solution.
- Revamped UI
- The VIVE Business+ UI has been updated and improved for a more streamlined, smoother operator experience.
VIVE Business+ also has additional features for business that subscribe to the Ultimate Tier or Custom plans:
- Remote Content Management
- Upload your own content, manage your library, install apps, and deploy updates to all your VIVE standalone headsets—from any location.2
- API Access
- Get powerful, granular customization and integration options with deep platform and device-level API access to fit your own products and services.3
- Tracker Management
- Manage your VIVE Ultimate Trackers and headsets from a single platform. Access additional tracker-specific features for seamless deployments.4
