Today, we’re thrilled to announce that VIVE Desk is now available for anyone with a compatible Windows computer and VIVE XR Elite, with our latest firmware update (7.1).

Easy Setup
Getting started is simple:
Install the VIVE Streaming Hub PC client on your computer and ensure your headset and computer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
Launch the VIVE Streaming application on your computer and follow the on-screen guide to pair your headset.
Launch VIVE Desk from your headset and follow the in-headset guide to define your desk space.]
Note: You can also follow this last step when you’re working from your laptop on-the-move, so you can always optimize your workspace wherever you are.
Screen Options
In VIVE Desk, you can easily switch between different screen configurations: Single Screen, Multi-Screen, and Ultra-Wide Screen.
Single Screen: A single large screen can greatly enhance your experience, whether you’re watching movies or working on spreadsheets. Activate Game Mode to optimize your computer’s performance for low latency 90 Hz streaming.
Multi-Screen: This flexible setup allows up to three screens that can be adjusted as a group or detached for individual adjustment.
Ultra-Wide Screen: The ultra-wide screen provides a single expansive view with no bezels, a 21:9 aspect ratio, and a size large enough to encompass your entire field of view.
Mixed Reality Supported
VIVE XR Elite enables color passthrough, seamlessly integrating your virtual workspace with your real environment. This feature provides a clear view of your surroundings and easy access to your keyboard, mouse, or other essentials. There’s also an option for partial pass-through, allowing you to see just your hands or desk in a fully immersive virtual environment.
Mouse and VR Controller Input
You can use your mouse in the traditional manner to control your desktop, or use your VR controller for scrolling and clicking through websites. Either option can be used to configure your workspace setup.
More Focus
Dim Mode darkens everything outside the screens, helping you focus more on your screen content. Alternatively, you can activate virtual environments for full immersion without distractions from the outside world.
