HTC VIVE’S latest XR innovation, VIVE Focus Vision, is now available on general sale from vive.com and other retailers!
VIVE Focus Vision is built on the success of the VIVE Focus 3 and comes with a wealth of improvements and new features to give gamers and enterprise users alike the best possible immersive experience for PCVR and standalone gaming, as well as Location-Based Experiences (LBE), industrial training, collaboration, and mixed reality applications.
VIVE Focus Vision features DisplayPort mode for PCVR, allowing users to connect the headset directly to a PC graphics card. This ensures lossless visuals, delivering an experience that aligns perfectly with the developers' original vision. This is perfect for PCVR gamers who have SteamVR game collections, as well as enterprise organizations who want to deliver a powerful immersive experience.
With auto-IPD adjustment and integrated eye tracking, sharing the headset is seamless. The VIVE Focus Vision automatically adjusts the interpupillary distance of the lenses for crystal-clear visuals, making it ideal for high-user turnover environments like location-based entertainment (LBEs) and training events.
Equipped with two front-facing color cameras, the headset enables stereoscopic passthrough, allowing users to experience the real world with natural depth perception while immersed in Mixed Reality. Coupled with a revamped cooling system, users can enjoy extended sessions in complete comfort. Plus, the built-in sub-battery ensures that users can swap batteries without losing their place in an XR experience, providing up to 20 minutes of additional runtime.
Highlighted features include:
Built-in eye tracking and motorized auto-IPD adjustment
DisplayPort mode for stunning, visually lossless PCVR experiences
Dual 16MP color cameras for stereoscopic full, depth-correct color passthrough
Up to 120-degree FOV and 90Hz refresh rate. Support for 120Hz refresh rate via DisplayPort mode coming late 2024.
Combined 5k resolution across both eyes
Depth sensor for scene recognition
Infra-red sensor for enhanced tracking in low-light conditions
