Here are some VTuber highlights from October 2023!
Mid-Autumn Special Event: Moonlit Melodies (9/29–10/1)
Organized by VTuber Sara during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Moonlit Melodies will bring together 30 VTubers to each sing for 30 minutes over the course of 3 days. In attendance will be virtual celebrities like USAGIHIME, Lily Linglan, Tsukishiro Kuyo, and shuku. The event will be a specatacular way to celebrate Mid-Autumn online.
Livestream Debut of Haiyue LinLin (10/3)
Haiyue LinLin, who debuted as a virtual jellyfish, is the second-generation VTuber for Taiwan's Public Television Service. She held her first livestream on October 3rd, with the Golden V Awards ceremony organized by Taiwan's Public Television Service also to be broadcasted on Haiyue LinLin's YouTube channel and the Public Television Service+ streaming platform.
Springfish Studio 6DOF Concert (10/13–10/15)
Illusionary, a dream event created by Springfish Studio and HTC's VIVE ORIGINALS, is Taiwan's first online full-angle VTuber concert. It breaks through the limitations of the 2D world and goes beyond traditional 3D, allowing fans to see the entire Rescute group from various angles, including Lutra Lutra, 15, and all members of the Xtreme Deep Field Project, as well as the 3D debut of Earendel and Nemesis!
Luxiem Taipei Meetup (10/15)
Nijisanji's VTuber group Luxiem announced last month that they would hold a Halloween-themed meetup at the Taipei Expo Dome in Taiwan on October 15th, news which excited many. Members Ike Eveland, Luca Kaneshiro, Vox Akuma, and Shu Yamino will be dressed in special costumes to interact with fans. In addition, ticket packages will include limited-edition merchandise related to the theme, such as collaboration clothing, commemorative bags, and lanyards.
Lefiya Maid Cafe x HaNaTan Collaboration Cafe (10/16–10/29)
Well-known VTuber HaNaTan will not only hold a concert in Taiwan on October 21st but also work on a special collaboration with Rephia Maid Cafe in Taipei, Taiwan. From October 16th to 29th, limited-edition meals will be available at the café to celebrate the 15th anniversary of HaNaTan's solo debut. These will include foods and drinks inspired by HaNaTan's image, cover songs, and original songs.
MOONDREAM VFEST (10/21–10/22)
Created by Moondream Reality, this immersive MR theater will present the Dream V Party (Moondream VFest) VTuber concert. Using interactive radar and laser projection technology, it will create a wonderful audio-visual experience. Participants don't even need to wear any devices to interact with projections of the idols directly. It'll be a nice chance to enjoy the intersection between the virtual and the real together in one experience while getting up close with Annin Milu, Lutra Lutra, and Nemesis. The event will be held on October 21st and 22nd in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
